Hi, I'm Tommy.
I'm glad you found your way here.
Wood & Riot is my small online shop, which I run in Leipzig-Connewitz. It all started on Etsy (opens in a new window) in 2023 – and since recently you can also find my products here in my own shop.
I love working with natural materials such as wood, slate and cork. When it comes to motifs, old illustrations have their place just as much as modern designs.
Perhaps you will find the right gift for someone special here – as a small token, a personal keepsake or just because. Or you will find something to treat yourself.
Got a question, a wish, or just want to say hello? Write to me at info@woodandriot.de or use the contact form. I look forward to your message.
A look into the workshop
From the idea to your home: this is how a wooden picture comes about at Wood & Riot.
-
The motif
It starts with a motif – an old illustration, a modern design or an idea of my own. I work it out and prepare it so that even fine lines and details come into their own on the material.
-
The laser
Then the laser takes over and burns the motif into the wood. Bit by bit, the fine lines and details appear. The natural grain stays visible and becomes part of the motif.
-
The wood
For the pictures I use mango wood in a 10 × 10 cm format. Every piece has its own grain and so brings a character of its own. That is why no picture looks exactly like another.
-
Shipping
So that your picture reaches you safely, I wrap it with care. From Leipzig it then makes its way to you – to give as a gift or to find a place in your home.
